If you are lucky enough to travel the West Coast on one of its crystal clear days, don’t miss the opportunity to take a scenic flight up and over the mountains, you won’t believe the sights!
The northern end of this wild, historic coast has a special micro climate. Here you can venture onto the famed Heaphy Track or just enjoy the majestic native bush.
View the wonderful natural forest from above with a treetops walk or try some white water rafting.
No one should drive past the incredible rock formations at Punakaiki without stopping to marvel, and if time allows take a day walk into the Paparoa National Park.
